Fall Break in Freiburg

Sometimes pictures are better than words, so here are a few pictures of lovely fall in Freiburg.
Would you just look at that sky? WOW. I love it! The rain is fine but the sky after the rain is stunning.
Boats to rent and take out on the lake.
This duck wanted to go shopping too. Perhaps a nice Freiburg bag? or a shawl?
I love how the light shines down on the water as the storm clouds move away--it is almost an eerie silver light, but it's captivating!
This is the world's largest functioning cuckoo clock!
If anyone has seen my facebook photo albums or even just previous blog posts, these leaf pictures come as no surprise. I have always been fascinated with nature--and fall leaves especially!
Haha! This is a funny one..F's aunt lives outside of Freiburg and the train station is called 'Himmelreich' or 'Kingdom of Heaven'...but the funny thing is that you ride there on the 'Höllentalbahn' or 'Hell's Valley Train'. Apparently Hell's Valley was even narrower than it is now and was the perfect place for thieves and bandits. Therefore if traders happened to make it through without being robbed, then it felt like heaven!
This was just a cool perspective. I decided not to get down on the tracks, because I was worried that someone would yell at me..or the train would come--you know either/or :P.
In the gift shop in Titisee there were cute little wooden pigs!
These leaves looked liked cats... :P
and the woods here reminded me of home in MA :) Lovely.
