An
interesting experience: I adapted a banana bread recipe to make zucchini
bread..and somehow it tasted like white cake--who makes white cake by accident?
It looked like the accident was that
someone poured zucchini in the cake..instead of zucchini bread accidentally
turning into cake.
Now, I
realize that such 'breads' are actually very cake-like in nature, but when it
was warm out of the oven it honestly tasted like white cake. I was baffled. Who
does that?? :)

We have also made all sorts of tasty things recently--well F has made them and I have enjoyed them with gusto! Here we had salmon, croquettes and cute mini tomatoes with mini basil leaves from our Basil plant, named Basti (Sebastian). (He also has a friend named Peter, our parsley plant).
------
We have also
had lovely snow recently. On one of the last days where I rode my bike (I have
since caved and started riding the bus), I came home fairly soaked through. I
therefore went up and asked F if he wanted to go out and play in the
snow--because I was already wet :)
We made a
cute snowman, with a rock mouth, horse chesnut eyes, etc. However, by the time
we had climbed the 2 flights to our apartment, taken off our wet boots, I
looked out the window and two punk kids had already knocked the head off! And
then pushed the abdomen off and kicked the base. Punks...Ah well. We had our
fun--and so did they :P
------
I had
gathered berries--fun white ones, that are hollow and are fun to step on and
pop, as well as mini red rosehips to add to my Advent wreath. However by the
time I came to making the wreath, the white berries had wilted somewhat and
deflated. The other day I looked and them and determined that they look exactly like stale popcorn tastes. :)
However I
still also made a nice wreath with wire places for the advent candles to sit.
We also have an adorable little Christmas tree, named Sven :)
I wish you
all a very happy, merry Christmas and many wonderful thoughts of peace and
Christ and love!
