We've become German, which means... (Part 1)

...Which means, we like to travel :) Germans love their vacations and absolutely love to travel somewhere during them. They don't have a super long summer vacation, like Americans do. Instead they (or at least the schools) sprinkle their vacation throughout the year, spreading out the joy :) (instead of being so bored by the end of summer vacation? and then thirsting for vacation at other times?)

So our latest exploits brought us down south again, but we have notably added a new location to the usuals. Which our camera celebrated by malfunctioning..after a while only the video function worked; the pictures were completely over-exposed to white. Weird, old ;) camera.

First stop was at the temple for our church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Frankfurt. We had a lovely time--enjoyed the Spirit and enjoyed helping in the temple. The ordinances performed in the temple help us and our relatives in eternity. For example we got to attend the sealing of a couple in our congregation. (A sealing is a marriage for time and all eternity instead of just 'till death do you part'). They've been married for quite a while, but the husband has only been a member for a few years. They have now prepared themselves and have entered into this eternal covenant; I am so happy for them! I guess we were so busy serving in the temple and helping out that we forgot to take pictures..but here is a picture of part of it from my time as a missionary there:
Then we went to a youth hostel in a cute village on a hill. Neckargemünd is near Heidelberg. The next town over was "the town of 4 castles"--and we enjoyed every one (even though one was privately owned..we enjoyed the lovely red ivy on the outside of that one..and climbed all over the other three :D ) Here are the videos.
We are in castle land
