Das Wetter in Kiel (the weather in Kiel) or the Power of a Kiss

"If I were a hashtagging person," I said to FR this morning, "I might post 'weather #cuzkiel'." Kiel, being on the Baltic Sea, has a wide array of weather options--and likes to cycle through them frequently.

Take today, for example. Between our deciding to go grocery shopping and me putting on my coat it had started to rain slightly. Between my putting on my coat and F putting on his coat, it had started to rain harder--so I changed my coat. Between our stepping into the stairwell and our arriving at the front door, two stories down, it had started to hail. Hard.

So, there we were at the front door, looking out into the hail. I decided to make use of those extra minutes, let the door close and began to kiss F. Nothing too crazy, but perhaps 7 or 8 kisses :).
Flashback to Copenhagen Temple :)
And what do you know? The hail stopped. We opened the door again and even the rain was stopping.

"Ah, the power of a kiss," I said.
"Careful, that's how whole religions start," F warned.

As we walked to the grocery store in the now damp but rain-free world, I commented that it actually sounded even more like part of a creation story--that such a kiss created the world!

Now, as I said, these kisses weren't actually all that crazy. We were in the relative privacy of our apartment stairwell, but everything was quite P.G. Perhaps these particular kisses would only have created a small planet...or a Pluto ;).
Anyway, by the time we'd finished shopping, it had begun raining again, but here we are--20 minutes later--on our way to the university, and the sun is shining. Go figure. #cuzkiel.
