A Plan for a Project a Month

What projects are you planning for 2016?

I've been thinking about a few, and planning on one per month. Got any ideas for me?

Goals:
1 - improve my art skills
2 - have a fun way to document the year

I do NOT expect to remember my month's project every single day. (I don't want to add pressure + stress, but I want to enjoy the projects when I remember them.)

Ideas so far:
January -- draw a tree daily
***(I was talking with my Dad, about my fascination with trees and their shapes and he suggested I should just draw more trees! He's been working on a 100 Videos Project in order to experiment with new techniques for short, low-pressure videos.)
Here's Day 1! *Fun Fact* I handbound and bleached the covers of this book at a campout with friends years ago. Now I'm finally getting around to using it :) That goes along with the New Year's Ideas in this article, such as finish a project/book you've started or in my case USE a sketchbook that you have.
February -- take a picture daily
***(A woman in our ward told me about the 365 photo challenge years ago, where you take a picture a day. 365 seems like a lot, but 28-31? Seems more manageable)
...
...and that's as far as I've gotten. Of course I could do themes and variations:
  • draw a hand/foot/body part daily
  • draw a random object daily
  • take a picture of myself daily
  • take a picture of nature daily
    • perhaps even of the same shot, out our kitchen window down our street
  • take a picture of my junk piles daily (erm...that could be scary! :) )
I can also branch out to other media and practice my watercolor or acrylic skills.
I could try and get an organizing/decluttering theme going and try to downsize one thing each day (scary!) or organize/work on organizing some area each day (could be very good!)
Or with a journal theme:
  • write in my journal daily
  • write down memories of childhood daily

So, any ideas to share?
