Nominally we were also in Denmark for the amber (which, after storms + cold water temperatures, floats + gets washed ashore). However our first search left us with no amber (but plenty of beautiful stones! :) )
Further searches proved equally fruitless (is that a word?...fruitful is...hm. without fruit, or in this case, amber (I think German is skewing my English sensor)), however more pretty stones!
In fact, at the end of our trip I had to sort out half and *still* ended up with a nice load :)
Here are the stones I left--I decided for some somewhat functional + decorative LandArt :).
I'll be bringing them for stacking stones (like blocks!) to my classroom.
We also were blessed with one day of sun! We had discovered the lighthouse the night before and headed over since the weather had cleared up.

| See? I have a little triangle ighthouse hat too! :) |
We weren't the only ones with that idea, but we still enjoyed the climb
+ the view.
And surprise! Someone's being silly...
We went walking on the beach again + I was pleased to learn that the beach closer to us was much better. Not only did it have a Shire-like village on the way, but also many more stones. Much better :)
I also did some shadow yoga
Here are some further signage amusements: Here are two more in my deer crossing collection.
And this one, though not quite southern Tennessee buff, is still pretty fabulous! (And apparently I'd already seen these, but now better photos :) )
And "knallert forbudt" (knallen in German means 'to explode/set off', like fireworks...however we realized later this meant motorized vehicles, which at least historically have been known to 'explode' or bang :) )
All in all, it was a nice trip.
