What we've been up to in 2018, Part 2

(For Part 1 of our Year in Review, go here)

July: I finished up the 2nd half of 4th grade + we played in the sprinklers under the sun on a walk through the town
and I did yoga at the beach :)
August: I went home to MA to help with the house. For more on those chronicles, see my mom's several blog posts about that -- here are links to a few :)
partial results of extensive water damage
in the thick of sorting, sorting, sorting
the house of my childhood
the stuff goes on -- in the barn!
I got to see some beloved friends :) + shared memories + news
+ I cut + donated my hair again :)
Um... I think there are few words that do this picture justice...Suffice it to say, the craziness here is entirely mine + has nothing to do with the friend I roped into cutting my hair :) See the next picture, to see she did a good job!
When trying to take selfies with younger brothers, be advised: the pics will end up funky :) (but if you refer to the first picture in this brief hair series, you shall see: this don't bother me! :P )
September: I'm now teaching my class in the 5th grade! Our first unit was about animals.
a day in the life of a Waldorf teacher..there's the numbered picture of the eagle + behind that some of the note rhythms we'd been learning, as well as the homework :)

and here part of the skeleton of a cow, how many millions of animals are slaughtered each year in Germany alone (!!) + a cow :)
October: We went to St. Petersburg! while Putin was there! :)
Luckily Putin was not yet at the enormous Hermitage Museum to open the new exhibit (otherwise we probably wouldn't have been allowed in..)
(see what a good red comrad I am?)
In mother Russia, even the bikes + bike stands are red :)
+ F presented again at the "Book of Mormon: Toward a Conversation" Conference. He's a spiffhead :)
+ I went on a week-long trip with my class to a wonderful place in the woods near Oldenburg in Niedersachsen. Here's the view from our cabins:
November: I got to start my unit about ancient cultures. I wore my sari, drew Brahma + wrote in devanagari (the script that was used for Sanskrit + is still used for Hindi today) :)
a picture of Brahma in the beginning of creation, inside the golden World Egg
December 2018: Here's our look-alike Christmas picture :) (And others from previous years :) )
