The reason I started blogging in the first place was, as the title of my blog suggests, because I felt like I had had my sense of wonder reawakened. (Thank you, Dr. Nelson!) In the interim I have sometimes lost sight of this sense of wonder -- or at least been focusing on other things.
However, recently I have been wondering and been amazed about eyes, specifically Theta's eyes (because I get to spend an inordinate amount of time gazing into them. ;) )
On the one hand, there's the fascinating thing of (at least Caucasian -- do others too?) babies having dark blue eyes at birth and the color gradually changing as they grow older.
Then I've had a question that I'd be thrilled for any eye doctors or people who know these things to enlighten me about! I've been wondering: What happens to the iris when your pupils dilate? Does it curl or fold back into the eye? It doesn't seem like the iris is liquid enough to just redistribute its color when the pupils get larger...
°°° I'd love to hear what you think/know about this!

Here are some pictures of Theta's eyes in various lights :)
Training his Ludwig eyebrows :)
Gotta love the drool :)
Here's a recent (allbeit somewhat blurry) one:
And here we are being twinners :) (which is called the following in German "partner-look" (yup...that's English just pronounced with a German accent :) )

And for more "partner-look", this is me as a baby with my zebra:
And now Theta with the same zebra :)
