... I've had over a dozen drafts of posts sitting here for months. -- And because of so many feelings, including the feeling that most of those things in my drafts are so unimportant in the larger scheme of the current and timeless important things we've been dealing with, I didn't post them.
However I will share our Christmas letter text with a few more photos, in case anyone cares to see how our cute Theta is growing ๐ (although the photos aren't necessarily in chronological order ๐ )
2021 was a rather full year. I taught at the Waldorf school and F prepared and sent off his dissertation for publication. He also enjoyed working as an editor/translator, and maybe we’ll see more of this in his future.
We also got to visit my family in the U.S. this summer, which was lovely. Theta was finally able to meet more relatives, especially his cousin! Theta continues to move faster and faster, loves to read and babbles almost constantly in both German + English. He often combines the two languages, such as “big Auto (car)” or “light aus (off)”, or he just names things in both, such as “purple lila” or “Schaf sheep”.
This kid *knows* he looks cool ๐
You can't tell, but under this mask, my cat face is much more symmetrical ๐
Oma came to help out during this weird time.
Oma crocheted Theta lots of adorable foods for his pots + pans; here the peas are being transported in a truck ๐
We like to do yoga together ๐
Hope you've been reading some good books too! ๐
