- played Celebrities with J's new in-laws and his now-wife :) (Welcome to the family!!!)

- (still don't know much about Gerry Garcia other than that there's an ice cream flavor (Cherry Garcia) named after him)
- + apparently Amelia Earheart was on the brainwaves--she was in there 2x
- telephone-pictionary--watch out for those moose
- went hiking on their beautiful huge property
- they have their own waterfall!
- --and guess what? MACRO mode!
 |
| colorful sandstone |
- It was actually really funny--I had fallen behind taking pictures of leaves or pine cones or something and apparently my mom asked where I was. F just said 'Macro mode' :) Right on!
 |
| hanging leaves, seemingly frozen in space and time |
 |
| A dancing ice man |
 |
| And ice newts or something amphibian |
- They even have rock houses (essentially these overhangs) on their property where Cherokee Native Americans had hidden.
 |
| F is thrilled that he successfully broke a stick :)--but no worries, he is not the cause of that rock cavern |
GA

- The sealing ceremony was beautiful. It just made me so happy--the beautiful promises they make to each other to create a new family unit and to work and grow together, through sacrifice, love and dedication.
- **Side note**A Mormon wedding that takes place in a temple is called a 'sealing' because you are sealed as a couple 'for time and for all eternity' and not just 'till death do you part'. For more on this, refer to J's and S's webpage :)--halfway down, under 'Weddings and Receptions'.
- **Side note, Part 2** Not all Mormon weddings are performed in temples, but then they do not have the same sealing power to preserve the family unit even after death.
- Couchsurfing in Atlanta
- great host! Really cool discussions with her; cuddled with her pets and took naps (cuz by this point we were half dead!)
- walked around her cool hipster neighborhood
- hipster Kroger vs. murder Kroger (we went to the hipster one.. :) )
- cool purple feminist bookstore
- Cool board books!!! Learn to count with Jane Eyre (you don't get much of the story..but who cares?)
- and learn opposites with Sense and Sensibility :)
- And they've got even more--like with Sherlock and Frankenstein! The kids probably don't care, but it's fun for the parents :)
- elevator music in a random train station elevator--classic and endearing--where else but in Georgia?
