The latest HAIR change

So, amusingly enough, 5 years ago (almost to the day!) I cut my hair really short for the first time.

Now, 5 years later, I have cut it really-really-really(!) short...i.e. I shaved it off. Because I wanted to try it out :) (And yes, I'll donate the hair again)

So, let's back up. Why did I do it? As I said, because I wanted to try it out. That's pretty much the long and the short :) of it. However, why did I do it now, at this point and time? That requires a bit more explanation.

I wanted to shave my head BUT I didn't want to scare my 2nd graders...so I waited till the afternoon of the last day of school. That way my hair will have the 6 weeks of summer vacation to grow back somewhat :)

 Not 27 dresses, but 27 braids came off my head.

These braids will then get donated to be made into wigs for people who have undergone chemotherapy or have autoimmune diseases like alopecia areata.
