2 ABCs, 6 years ;)

To celebrate 6 years of marriage, we decided to do another Anniversary Bakery Crawl (ABC ;) ) (See this post for our first one.)

1st stop: a delicious walnut thing at Brotgarten (=bread garden)
In between stops 1 + 2, we went through Citti Park with the intention of visiting their bakery. We were underwhelmed but went through the rest of the store for the samples. Along the way we scored some sushi. Wahoo!
2nd stop: a little donut from Steiskal (they were mini donuts, 3 for 1,50€; we asked if we could just buy one. She gave us a funny look but gave us one for our 0,50€ ;) )
3rd stop: bluberry streusel from Landbäkerei (=land (as in 'out in the country') bakery)
Here I made the mistake of making a comment about his eyebrows, how he often makes this sort of face for pictures (with the raised eyebrows)...
4th stop: some sort of pastry pocket from another organic bakery
So he decided to make a different silly face here...
If we have pictures of fruits + veggies, does that balance out our sugar intake?
5th stop: marzipan thing from Andresen
And yet another silly face here ;) (as I said, I pretty much asked for it ;) )
6th stop: chocolate-cherry cake from Wäger
But then I didn't want to be left out of the funny-faces-fun!
And two macro shots from our walking around: fuchsia (because this color does actually exist here occasionally...and not just in India ;) )
and F noticed a caterpillar hard at work!
And an amusing street: Jeßstraße (according to German pronunciation, that would be 'yees' before the word for street. A long 'e' sound because it's written with ß (which sounds like an s); however instead of being written with double s which would indicate a short 'e' sound...yeah. We enjoy grammar + linguisticy things. Just smile and nod ;) We have a street that is called Yeeees-street. Awesome. Or rather, yeeees ;) or also yeees?)
And for a brief photographic reflection on these 6 years, here's a photo (or two) a year:
2011
2012, we grad-jee-ated! (+ moved to Germany)
2013, we went to Italy! (+ Switzerland...country-hopping is so much easier in Europe!)
2014, here we are in Germany, looking slightly vampiric but maybe that's just the sun-deprivation from living even further north than Edmonton, Alberta, Canada!
2015, a Spanish collage from Valencia
and an Indian one from Agra as well
As you can see, we like to make faces wherever we are ;)
2016 + now for the extremes of curly craziness on our way to Denmark
and blithe baldness from our very own bathroom :)
2017 most recently, the tickling happy dance :)
Amusingly enough our fraction-of-marriage-lived-in-Germany is easy to calculate -- it's always one year less than we've been married. So now we've lived in Germany for 5/6 of our marriage. Funky. I definitely wouldn't have expected that, but there you go! :)
