Botanical Garden, paintings, etc.

The Botanical Garden at the Christian-Albrecht-Universität zu Kiel has wonderful sights.
We got to enjoy a pineapple plant (I don't know what exactly I would've expected, but somehow not that... :) )
Turtle Towers! Should we topple some turtle towers? Truly an amusing task ;)
Reminds me of a wonderful children's book by Dr. Suess, "Yertle the Turtle" :)
 Macro flower!
 Mom observing a funky cactus.
All the cacti!!
Look how cute and nobby (knubbelig!) they are!
Big fact cacti :)
Funky triangle 'petals'? 'lobes'?
Mom + me in similar outfits
My parents took cover in our doorway from a sudden onset of rain :)
And my dad and I collaborated on an update of our canvas. (Here's a link to our last collaboration)
Before:
(well, without the white stripes--that was me already wanting to paint it over)
And while it was white, I could use it as a backdrop for Christmas cards :)

+ then "After": (my dad took care of the bricks + I tried my hand at the green ;) )
And here we've got a family picture -- taken on the same occasion as the photos for the happy dance!
