10 year blog-aversary!

10 years ago* I wrote my very first blog post here -- as a sophomore in college. Wow. How the time has flown. While I still like the original reason for creating this blog, I admit I haven't posted much in that vein explicitly -- talking about reawakened wonder. But I still enjoy have it awoken :)

Some highlights + photos over the years:
2007 F was serving his mission for our church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Argentina + I, as a freshman and sophomore at BYU, was wondering, among other things, about how sound travels through skin :)
2008 I had no posts, but here's a picture of me with my beloved 'horsey girls'
And, after having finished my "Personal Progress" (a series of smaller and larger projects having to do with personal development, learning various skills and growing spiritually and intellectually), I went on a trip to Ireland with my dad.
2009 found me at a monastary, enjoying the solitude and the ice crystals.
In June I then left to serve a year-and-a-half mission for our church in Frankfurt, Germany.
Here I am leaving the MTC (Missionary Training Center) to fly to Germany after 2 1/2 weeks of intense gospel and language study.
My trainer and I on Main Turm (Main Tower, as in the Main River) overlooking Frankfurt am Main.
2010 (no posts, but here are some pictures) -- I was on my mission
My last day on the mission, ready to go back home.
2011 After a few short days at home, I went back to BYU. There I met my F and we 'courted' and got happymarried :)
2012 We graduated from Brigham Young University, visited family all over the country (literally from coast to coast) and moved to Germany where I started a teacher training program to become a Waldorf teacher.
West coast
East coast
(Is it just me, or does F like to sit on things? ;) )
Germany!
2013 At the end of my first year of my Waldorf teacher training program, we got to go to Italy -- and Dad got to come too!
We also met some of F's relatives in Kaiserslautern.
2014 My family came up from Spain to visit us in Germany.
I went to Norway at the conclusion of my second year of the training program.
And then, having finished my training, I got to start with my very own first grade!
2015 My brother got married and we got a new sister!
We visited my family in Spain...
...And later sailed the ocean blue (okay, the Baltic Sea ;) ) to the temple in Copenhagen.
Then we went to India for F's master's program.
2016 F finished his Master's degree.
We visited my family in Spain again.
I cut off absolutely all of the hair on my head (except brows and lashes) just for fun :) and donated it.
2017 My family visited us again from Spain
We did a happydance ;)
My third graders learned about lots of trades and we got to try out blacksmithing!
Then, as fourth graders, we finally got to bake bread from the wheat that we'd sown by hand last year. This year we harvested, threshed, winnowed, ground and baked our wheat into delicious bread :)
... And all the while, the less photogenic moments have been happening too: laughing, smiling, reading, breathing, crying, talking, thinking, sleeping, eating, cooking, worrying, praying, researching, writing, painting, washing, cleaning, organizing, and more. 10 years is almost a third of my life.
In any event I am grateful for my life, grateful for my husband, grateful for my God.

*I had plans to make it 10 years ago to the day, namely November 30th, but life had other plans, so here it is 10 years and a bit ;).
