Rügen (one of the German islands)

Off the coast of Stralsund is the island, Rügen. Here we are on the island, looking back to Stralsund.
One of the special highlights of Rügen is the "tree-top-path". At the base, a sand-creation:
We ascended up a gently-sloping path to a height among the trees.
On the path through the treetops, there were fun little things to walk + balance on.
Then there was a taller tower that allowed us to gently ascend to a height above the trees.
A wonderful vista
On Rügen there was also a nice little church -- unfortunately, closed :-/
A fun playground with a sunken ship
Hooray for trees! (My posing reminded me of men in high heels in Baroque paintings..see below ;) )

Beautiful forests
communing with the trees
and posing with the roots :)

Here, on the white cliffs (of the same 'make' as those of Dover + Callais),
one of our favorite Romantic painters, Caspar David Friedrich, painted this:
And I posed as she (at least in color + hairdo)
Then a last view across the water
And of course a macro shot :)
Isn't the forest beautiful?
