Happy Easter from all 3 of us!

It's getting greener!
I'm so grateful for Easter and the time we have to especially remember Christ, the Lamb of God.
He has done so much -- suffered and died for our sins and mistakes -- and then risen from the dead! So that we too can rise again!

It brings such hope, that our mistakes do not eternally condem us, that physical death doesn't permanently trap us, but instead that we can learn from our mistakes and repent and be free, and we will live again and see our loved ones again!

I hope you are all feeling some hope and joy, whether because of the spring blooms and warmer weather or Christ's atonement (or all of the above :) )
We recently got to enjoy a little vacation on the Baltic Sea, and on one of our beach walks we found a stone that looked like a lamb. So, here are our Easter greetings from the Baltic Sea!
And we got to ride a tandem bike -- how's that for full of metaphor! It's surprisingly difficult to ride, although *surprise* with practice, it gets easier. One of the hardest parts remained the starting off..
Technically we were riding "zu dritt" (as a threesome :) ) on our tandem
Imagine us riding a tandem bike with Christ -- are we letting him sit in the front and steer? And are we willing to lean into the curves with him? Are we coordinated enough to start pedaling together? Or are we sitting back there like a sack of potatoes, not paying attention (+ therefore suffering some pain when we didn't notice there were cobblestones or a bump in the road coming?)?

Or are we in the front steering -- and do we notice that Christ is always ready to lean with us, he anticipates what we'll need? he watches for traffic as well as for beautiful sights to tell us about along the way?

I'm so grateful for Jesus Christ, our older brother, who knows what this bumpy life is like but also helps us to often be able to enjoy the ride :)

And here's a little hopeful haiku I wrote about my own personal hopes this Easter season:
     hoffnungsvoll, dankbar,
dass ich bald einen Bauch-voll
      habe. Baby wächst...

And for those of you who want it in English :)
     hopeful and thankful
for the impending belly-ful
       baby is growing...

A family photo (the sun wanted to make her presence known too...even if she couldn't be in the photo :) )
(I'm at 21+0 weeks here)
