Here's part 2 of Theta's dress-up adventures! First an honorable mention for this post, where we had Theta as a baby Genghis Khan :)
And then, reflecting on Theta's diligent growing, I realized that the infant costumes I have may (already?) be too small or will be come February, so I took them out and photographed him in them. Theta as a distressed tiger:
Is he Simba's cousin?
Here he's a very chill ....Native American*? Frontiersman? (He is a descendant of Daniel Boone after all...)
* That was originally a Native American costume, but a friend of mine who married a Native American made a poster about the issues with cultural appropriation. I think it's good to learn about other cultures + I like to show my interest + respect for them...so does that mean I technically shouldn't wear a sari? Or other clothing typical of other cultures? I'm not sure...But, in the spirit of sharing the enlightenment + encouraging discussion, here are her posters:
** Theta's 'cousin-twin' was born at essentially the same gestational age (41 wks) + just 5 days before Theta. We look forward to these cousin-twins getting to know each other!

And here he's a rather unhappy reindeer
And last but not least, he's a curious blue bear :)* That was originally a Native American costume, but a friend of mine who married a Native American made a poster about the issues with cultural appropriation. The cultural appropriation poster was really interesting. And the Theta pictures were adorable, of course!
