Here's the next 3-month installment for 2023. In case you missed Part 1, click here.
April: We went to the Tierpark again, because baby animals! + feeding them grass pellets! + outside! + yay!
And we went on a mini cruise up to Sweden
We went to the Universeum Museum (a super cool, kid-friendly science museum)Here Theta's resting on the bike rack next to our front door (with a musical instruments backpack form the library -- as you do :) )
If you spend much time on social media, you probably saw the new (er, old!) hype about "having one's colors done" -- so I did my own: a few conclusions: NOT so good next to my face: Tomato red (yellowish red), yellow, etc. (But I'm defs still going to keep wearing red pants!)
GOOD: clear kelly green, saturated violet
Theta built + then stomped on a little stick village
I did a 1-day pottery practicum during Easter break
Here are the finished products! (+ yes, the 2 professional-looking things were made by the lovely old man whose daughter now owns the pottery. He still works there + is such a dear!)
Tiny vase with bluebells! And we were at the Tierpark again! but with a friend! + foals! + a peacock!
a little water gnome
snail-watching (+ poking their horns!)
decorating the bike cages with dandilions (his graffiti is more "land art", less spray paint)
birthday ice cream at the beach
whale skeletons at the natural history museum in Kiel
and surfing with the turtles on the EAC (East Australian Current, totally dude!)
May: Spriiiiiing!
soccer at the beach
more building (this time a dino; Theta is feeding him)
at the beach again :) (We love living on the Baltic Sea!)
shopping at the bulk store + enjoying their nature garden + Theta-sized lawn chair
bird-watching at yet another (bigger + fancier) Tierpark
Visiting the guinea pigsBeing an eagle in his nest! Then we visited the fair, the Eckernförder Sprottentage (Sprat Days :) )Taking care of our window sill tomatoes (not sure if the flashlight really helps...but he also sings to them + I'm sure they enjoy that!)Giant bubbles! Then Kieler Woche (Kiel Week, a week long street fair with so many cool things including a field full of things being built and painted, etc (+ at the end of the week auctioned off for the wood + the liability...)
And nail nails anywhere he pleases on this wooden platform -- he had impressive technique!
Yet another ferris wheel!
Bumper cars!
