A 1st, a 2nd and another 1st

I'll try to be brief..we'll see if I can manage :)


My first time going snow-shoeing! F and I went snow-shoeing while F's brother, B, went skiing. There was a light snow falling, and it was lovely!

We decided that sometimes it's more fun to just sled/slide down the hills than tramp down them...

Here we are riding back down in the gondola at the end of the day! B...is fond of doing anything but smiling for pictures :) (see also below)

The "2nd" refers to my second time going to hot springs. The first time was in a river in Spanish Fork..there, the springs was a lot smellier, a lot harder to get to (an hour of hiking),  but looked a lot more natural with little pools of hot water separated by rock walls from the cold river water :) Here, we were at the Banff Hot Springs and it was easy to get to, and smelled and looked just like a chlorinated pool, only here the water was a lot warmer than a normal pool--40 degrees Celcius!

Once again, B is not smiling..he's  making the exact same non-smiling face as before :)

The last 1st refers to playing Air Soft. B is...shall we say, a little obsessed? He has more than half a dozen air soft guns, plenty of camo, mags (magazines..not the kind to read, but the kind that hold your bullets--or in this case BBs), mag reloaders, etc. We had a grand old time, shooting each other with little BBs--and  being shot with them (I managed to do both :P) and we all earned a few bruises :)

And if any of us had forgotten that it was Calgary, it decided to snow again today--just a few cm, but it's May 5th! Apparently it can snow every month of the year :)
