First we had a day in Madrid and saw some amusing signs,

| Owls + cats + bears, oh my! |
At said museum you apparently need to buckle up your Scotty dogs :)

And Here's some Spanish fashion advice that I completely understand! (it helps that 2 of the 4 words are in English...)

Cool ironwork patterns (Look at the trees INSIDE the main train station!)

It's not a lady with a ship on her head (great children's book!), but rather a lady with tree antlers on her lamp hat.

and this poor little guy in the middle..he's a bit short!

Bill-to-bill, these two fowls have a face-off (or maybe one is a high speed train that'll take us to Valencia..sometimes up to 300km/h!)

(Apropos museum--who knew de Goya could also be funny/jolly (as opposed to grim + revolutionary)? He also is great with portraits--really captures personality. This guy looks exhausted, even a bit critical. This one's rather smooth, but with large eyes and seems on the verge of speech. This man seems sad, almost disappointed. On the other hand, this man seems a bit jolly, perhaps even silly--I just love how it doesn't feel 'photoshopped', he's got wrinkles + it's okay!) This lady has nice, happy eyes (and an impressive dress!)
oh, and cat fight! :-D

And here's a great painting from Fortuny Y Marsal, showing sunlight on skin.
Or from Sorolla Y Bastida, a saint in prayer
and Amazing rain + reflections from Muñoz Degrain
and 5 senses in 5 different paintings from Brueghel El Viejo + Rubens
and imagine this painting from Enrique Simonet in HUGE...a few meters tall and several wide. amazing.
