We traveled to Göteborg, Sweden + F had done some nice research so that we could catch some fun, quirky corners of the city.
Here I am, posing as a statue :) (are we surprised? No.)
Wahoo! Here we are at this crazy, quirky, hipster place. Here are some cool paths between the birches.
Here's the free swimming pool that is just set into the harbor! There is minimum filtration so you had to shower first (cold!!! But even the Swedes danced out of the way ;) ) Lovely view + fun idea!
Here's the super cool playground. There was also an urban garden + a nice big sandbox with beach chairs :) (see the dropbox link below)
This was fondly called the "Fish Church"
We tried some large crayfish -- wow! Delicious. We could tell that it was the claw flesh that is often imitated for 'imitation crab' (although I actually preferred the taste of the torso.. :) )
A lovely spire. (See the dropbox link below for other fun spires + architecture)
Ah, Sweden ;) Continuing their tradition of red wooden buildings (even outhouses!)
Thanks for visiting!
So, Sweden is not nearly as impressive as Germany in the baked goods department, but here is a Swedish classic: cinnamon rolls (however, these (just some run-of-the-mill ones from the grocery store) had no frosting as American ones do, but they did have cardamom(!?). Since our buying cardamom in India we have developed a taste for it. Guess it shows how rich Sweden is, when one of their classic dishes has such an exotic spice in it!)
Um...so is this where you go if you already are "angered"? Or do you go there to see things that will get you all hot and bothered? Hm....I'd rather avoid it :)Wahoo! Here we are at this crazy, quirky, hipster place. Here are some cool paths between the birches.

Parts of it reminded me of our "Jungle Jon" (as opposed to gym/Jim... ;) ) that my dad made us when we were kids.
Here were some cool water works to play with, all water pumped out of + back into the harbor.
Some cool art found around town. This was fondly called the "Fish Church"

Here we are at the 'cape' (I forget what it was called...)
You can tell disposable grills are 'a thing' when they make a special trash can just for them. :DAh, Sweden ;) Continuing their tradition of red wooden buildings (even outhouses!)
And don't forget to do some yoga!
Here's the dropbox link to even more photos of us on the way to + from + in Sweden :)Thanks for visiting!
